Results of the round table “Prospects of development of food industry of Ukraine”

19 March 2014 at the Kyiv national trade-economic University, together with the Association of Ukrainian producers of "Ice cream and frozen products” held Ukrainian round table "Prospects of development of food industry of Ukraine”. The purpose of this event was the discussion of the current state and urgent problems of development of food industry of Ukraine, problems of harmonization of national normative documents of branch with the European requirements, as well as development trends and objectives of the food industry on 2014.

The Outcome of the meeting of the round table was the discussion of the enactment of DSTU “Icing and coatings for ice cream. General specifications”; development of DSTU “Ice cream and liquid mixes for manufacturing. General specifications”; amendments in accordance with GOST “Milk ice cream. Technical specifications” according to the proposals of the Euro-Asian Council for standardization; conducting the all-Ukrainian ice cream festival (May 24 and August 24, 2014) and II-nd International exhibition "The World of ice cream and cold & Milk and meat industry of XXI century” (18-20 March 2015).

The results of consideration and discussion of topical issues of the food industry of Ukraine is competent for solving the identified problems the participants of all-Ukrainian round table "Prospects of development of food industry of Ukraine” determined the main tasks: lobbying of interests of the enterprises of the food industry, active participation of the enterprises in development of laws of Ukraine and other legislation in the agricultural and food sector, access to goods and services on the domestic and foreign markets, harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with European requirements.
